Happy Holidays from Deep Space Sparkle

I am so thankful for my Deep Space Sparkle community of art teachers and parents. It has been a wonderful experience sharing our mutual love for children’s art these past few years. I will not be posting any new content this week but you can look forward to seeing some new art lessons, new PDF art booklets and a series on the organized art teacher in the coming weeks.

On a side note, today is my oldest child’s 18th birthday. It’s hard to believe that my little man has actually turned into well, a man. We spent the morning looking at his childhood memory albums, including photographs and scans of his artwork. I’m glad I kept those creative scribblings because as strange as it is, they really do speak to who he is.

Christmas will be quiet this year as Newt will be traveling to Miami to sail on Christmas Day. We will miss him but frankly, we are all pretty jealous!

I hope you all have a restful, renewing holiday filled with memory-making moments. See you in the new year!

Merry Christmas to you too! I can relate to your oldest turning 18….where does the time go? My oldest will turn 21 this December. I remember doing lots of reflecting about my son the year he turned 18…..he was getting ready for graduation, college, etc. You have a beatiful family…….thanks for sharing!

Also, as a first year art teacher this year I have found your blog a great resource! Thanks so much!

You have a beautiful family! Thank you for all your inspiration!!! We are currently living overseas in Russia and some days our winters are so harsh that I can’t take the boys outside for days………….so I am so grateful for your blog and all the projects we’ve been able to do on those freezing days. Have a blessed Christmas and I look forward to all the future projects!!!
