Art room update…

The art room has been a very busy space lately: hundred’s of ceramic pieces, ceramic murals and loads of new lessons. Despite this, you may have noticed that my blog has been a bit quiet, but I haven’t been. All those new lessons will appear in my upcoming e-course Teaching Art 101. The official announcement with all the details will be released on June 1st, but I will tell you that the dates are Monday, June 25-Friday July 13! I really hope you can join me!

I’m excited beyond words developing the course and have been in stitches editing my videos. Who knew I sounded so funny???? Regardless, I press on making the best instructional videos I can even though I sound like I have a cold. I know this e-course will make many of you very, very happy…over 24 new lessons, tons of videos, handouts and explanations of everything I do in the art room. I’ve compiled every single question/email/comment I’ve ever received and plucked out the most common questions. I’m going to answer them all.

Neil’s been busy as well. He’s setting up a super cool forum for us to use in our classroom space. I told him that I don’t care how fancy it is as long as I can figure out how to use it! I don’t know about you, but I’m not that swift with forums. Neil promises that it’ll be easy. My hope is that a forum will help everyone share comments and questions and basically really help establish our own little art community.

Not all my new lessons will go into my e-course. I still have lots of new lessons coming up plus a new ebook (Modern Masters II for grades K-3). The ceramic mural will have it’s unveiling in 2 weeks and I can’t wait. I always breathe a little easier once the mural is successfully installed.

So bear with me as all these pieces fall into place. Watch for a little sneak peek into my e-cours this weekend on the DSS facebook page.

Until then…go teach lots of art!
