The Dancing Cow art lesson, inspired by the famous "Cows" ice creamery in Prince Edward Island, is for you. Teachers use the how-to-draw handout to guide the children through a drawing lesson, complete with tips on how to encourage children to create their own dancing cow. A quick watercolor wash makes this lesson extremely time efficient.

Speckled Hen is a lesson I chose to do with sixth grade but is the adaptable for almost any age. Follow my step-by-step guide to drawing a hen and paint away. Lots of opportunity for individual expression here.  

Giraffe’s are a staple subject in the art room and for good reason; you can’t draw a giraffe and not be successful. Those dynamic spots and long necks are just too fun. As a twist (and to make it easier), I asked the students to only draw the heads. Tempera paint and clack oil pastel turns this project from plain to spectacular.
