This art project is part of the Art at Home series of Facebook Live video replays.
When I was planning the Art at Home series for kids, I knew I had to include the Dancing Cow lesson. A bit of a back story: I grew up in Prince Edward Island and return every summer. We have a famous ice creamery called COWS. Perhaps you heard of it?
While browsing the COWS gift shop one day, I came across the cutest greeting card. A bunch of frolicking cows set against a bright green background. It inspired me to create an art lesson in the hopes that it would be as amusing for the kids as it was to me.
Draw and paint along with Patty in a full video demonstration:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Regular white paper, black oil pastel or crayon for drawing, watercolor or tempera paint for the background.
If you don’t have paint, no worries. This is a fun project to do with just a thick black marker.
The drawing handout is great to give to kids so they can doodle all day long. You can grab it below.
