We’re an online art education company that provides art lessons, curriculum’s and support to busy K-7 art teachers through our website, memberships and courses.
Founded in 2009 by Patty Palmer, a former K-7 art teacher in Santa Barbara, CA, Deep Space Sparkle serves thousands of teachers in our art teacher membership, The Sparklers’ Club, plus provides free weekly content through our blog.
We work to a high level of integrity in the planning, production and delivery of online courses, memberships and trainings that help teachers and parents teach art with inspiration and support.
We’re looking for a technical project manager to execute the development and completion of our content and ensure timely delivery and someone who understands the world of digital launches and online marketing.
You will work with a diverse group of competencies, technical staff, publishers, designers, illustrators, educational content writers, and executive staff. It is important that you have an understanding of each of our team member’s areas of expertise in order to effectively communicate and create project documents.
You’ll manage our project management tools and create effective project management boards that the whole team can use and understand. You will work with the team throughout the project while communicating updates to the executive team, and see the projects through to completion.
You’ll create the editorial and project calendar for the year and break each project into actionable steps, assigning team members and managing team workload.
You’ll manage and be responsible for our Project Boards for every aspect of the business and update the status during weekly project meetings.
Skills and Competencies
– Proven experience as a technical project manager or similar role
– Extensive experience with monday.com or similar project management service
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Experience managing a wide array of projects
– Strong problem solving and analytical skills
– Extremely detailed oriented with a high standard for accuracy and quality
– Professional and coachable and happy to do all the tasks related to your role
Key Responsibilities
– Design and implement project management boards to funnel creative ideas into deliverables using our project management systems
– Create project plans, timelines, meeting schedules and minute documents for all projects, marketing, publishing, content creation, technical updates, and more.
– Define project scope, goals, and deliverables for all products including website, course and memberships.
– Run project meetings and make sure projects are on track
– Allocate tasks to cross-functional team members (both in-house and virtual) and communicate deadlines.
