Three Winter Art lesson for ages 5-8 that focuses on easy art techniques, drawing instructions and literature.

$7.00

Winter Art Projects II

Winter Art Projects II is my second winter-themed bundled art unit. This 31-page PDF is packed with instruction on how to make a Snowy Forest, a Winter Cardinal and a Winter Tree. The lessons are successful for children ages 6-8 but can be adapted for older kids by implementing the suggestions for leveling up.

Fill the cold winter months ahead with beautiful art that is literature based and technique-driven.

Snowy Forest: Children learn about perspective, symmetry and color so that they can create a cozy cabin in the woods. (1st-3rd grade)

Supplies needed: drawing paper, liquid tempera paint, colored paper or card stock, oil pastels, glitter (optional), glue and scissors

Winter Cardinals: A great lesson for drawing shapes and practicing cutting, gluing and composition skills. Part observation, part template. Options for fun embellishments included. (Kinder-2nd grade)

Supplies needed: drawing paper or card stock, liquid tempera paint, red colored paper or card stock, black oil pastels, paper scraps, glue and scissors

Perspective Tree: It’s not easy learning perspective in second grade but this lesson offers a unique view. Children study a winter tree from the ground up. Painting, drawing and composition skills. (2nd-4th grade)

Supplies needed: drawing paper, black, blue & white liquid tempera paint, oil pastels, glue and scissors
