Teacup Tub Time

Designed with standards for Kindergarten

In this playful collage lesson, students will create a little mouse enjoying a bubbly soak inside a teacup tub while exploring shape, line and texture along the way.

Students will build their composition from simple paper shapes and use stamping to create bubble textures.

Inspired by the shapes in Ellen Stoll Walsh’s Mouse Shapes, this lesson gives students plenty of opportunities to practice cutting, arranging shapes, printmaking and creating both implied and tactile texture.

Our lessons are unique to Deep Space Sparkle’s framework for designing an engaging, yet rigorous learning experience.

They’re standards-infused, age-appropriate and easy for you to implement in your art room to ensure teacher AND student success.
